When it comes to seeking a biostimulant that provides both immediate results and improvements that continue to be seen over time, look no further than Sculptra. This biostimulant provides results that can be seen right away and long-term benefits that continue to improve over time. To experience the amazing benefits of Sculptra in Minneapolis-St. Paul, schedule a consultation at Rocheford Plastic Surgery.
Sculptra® is a biostimulant made up of poly-L-lactic acid to help correct nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin wrinkles, and other signs of facial aging. The body gradually absorbs the biostimulant to help rebuild lost collagen, resulting in a younger-looking appearance. Unlike other biostimulants, Sculptra® gradually and subtly corrects facial wrinkles over time. Three treatment sessions are often needed for optimal results.
Because collagen growth is stimulated gradually, results will appear over time and can last up to two years.
Cost is ultimately dependent on the number of treatments, the size of the treatment area, and the desired results.
Sculptra® is meant to treat patients 18 years and older who wish to address the underlying causes of facial aging. Those with a history of severe allergies or keloid or hypertrophic scarring should not receive this filler. It is not known how Sculptra® affects patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
There are so many fads and false promises out there. It’s almost impossible to make a confident decision without trusted advice, and that’s what I’m here for. My goal is to help you understand what is right for you – based on your unique situation.
Meet Dr. RochefordSculptra injections are an outpatient treatment that is done while you are awake. Your provider will begin by thoroughly cleansing the treatment area to ensure there are no bacteria that could lead to infection. Once the skin of the treatment is clean, a topical anesthetic may be applied to numb the skin of the treatment area. Finally, the Sculptra product is injected using a fine gauge needle. Multiple areas of the face can be treated during one Sculptra appointment.
Patients who undergo a Sculptra® treatment may experience swelling, tenderness, bruising, pain, redness, lumps, or itching at the injection site(s). Because collagen growth is stimulated gradually, results will appear over time and can last up to two years.
