Having clear, radiant skin is a worthy goal at any age. Achieving it, however, can be more difficult as time goes on. It can seem overwhelming to look for the right treatment option for you, but there are more advanced treatment options on the market than ever. Fractora RF is one effective technology that can perform a variety of functions for a truly customized treatment for you and your goals – without downtime or incisions.

What is Wrinkle & Scar Rejuvenation?

As you age, your skin becomes less effective at building new collagen, the protein responsible for keeping your skin youthful and supple. In Minneapolis-St. Paul, the Fractora bipolar RF system can stimulate collagen growth at the same time as contracting existing collagen to soften the appearance of wrinkles, scars, sun damage, as well as other signs of aging on the face, neck, and lips. Unlike CO2 treatments, Fractora is not associated with prolonged redness and downtime. Rather, it can rejuvenate the skin through non-surgical skin tightening and collagen induction therapy. With regular treatments, it can be an effective way to rebuild the collagen matrix under the skin and prevent further collagen loss.

“There are not that many women surgeons in the Twin Cities. I felt Dr. Rocheford listened to what I wanted to achieve, didn’t push other procedures and was realistic about expected outcomes. I am so happy with the results, well placed stitch line and natural looking outcome. The aftercare nurse Jenny was spectacular. I felt well cared for and she was available whenever I had a question. If I decide to do another procedure I will definitely go back to Dr. Rocheford.”

“Dr. Rocheford and her team made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived at the office. Dr. Rocheford was extremely thorough during my consult, explaining my intended procedure in detail and what I should expect during the entire process. I appreciated the detailed pricing that was reviewed with me by one of Dr. Rocheford’s team members so that there were no questions about what the cost would be. I was understandably nervous on the day of my surgery, however, the entire team was AMAZING! Jen, Sarah, Dr. Rocheford, Bonnie, and everyone else on the team were kind, supportive and kept me informed of the process. The discharge instructions and pain control plan were detailed and easy to follow. The post-op follow up was thorough and convenient.”

Who is a Good Candidate for Wrinkle & Scar Rejuvenation?

Patients with signs of aging on their lower or upper eyelids, smile lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth, and neck can often benefit from this procedure. RF skin tightening is popular with patients experiencing the beginning signs of aging, usually in their late 30s and early 40s. During your consultation with Dr. Rocheford and our skincare team, we’ll discuss your goals for Fractora RF and determine whether it’s the best option for you.

The Procedure

This treatment works by delivering bipolar RF energy to the skin through an array of electrodes and micro-lesions, or tiny wounds in the skin. The tissue is gently heated through this process, promoting the production of collagen through your body’s natural wound-healing response. Additionally, RF energy causes collagen contraction for immediate tightening of the skin’s deep tissues. Fractora RF can be performed using a topical anesthetic so you’re comfortable during treatment, and you can return home afterward. The length of your treatment session can depend on factors like the size of your treatment area, but sessions generally take under an hour.

Meet Dr. Rocheford

Wrinkle & Scar Rejuvenation Recovery

There’s no downtime needed after treatment, although you’ll need to take steps to care for your skin afterward. You can expect some slight redness after your treatment, but it should resolve within one week. Makeup can be applied one to two days following treatment, and our skincare team will give you detailed instructions on how to care for your skin and which products to avoid. Results will be visible immediately after treatment, although improvements can continue up to a month after each session. Sunscreen should always be worn for long-lasting results, and your skin will be photosensitive after each treatment. Being exposed to sunlight can cause unwanted complications like pigmentation and sun damage. As your skin recovers, you’ll see a noticeable improvement in your skin’s texture, tone, and youthfulness with a radiant glow and a smoother look.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

This can depend on factors like your goals, existing concerns, and how well you maintain your results. For most patients, two to three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart are needed for optimal results. Dr. Rocheford charges $100 for consultations, which is deducted from the price of your in-office procedure. During your consultation with our team, we’ll create a customized treatment package and give you a full estimate of your costs.
