Tummy Tuck Procedure

This is a 47-year-old female from Cottage Grove, Minnesota who is interested in abdominoplasty. She was bothered by the laxity of her abdomen as well as the excess tissue. She underwent the abdominoplasty and was very happy with her results. She is now able to tuck in shirts and wear belts.

This is a 40-year-old woman from River Falls, Wisconsin who was interested in abdominoplasty. She had three children. Two of her children were delivered via Cesarean section. Prior to surgery, she had abdominal wall laxity and stretch marks above and below the umbilicus.

Postoperatively, the patient was very happy with her result. She had much improved abdominal contour and she had liposuction of the flanks as well and much improved flank contour.

She did have some blistering as the result of the Steri-Strips on her lower abdominal incision which you can see some darkened spots still on her lower abdominal wall. This should resolve in time.

This is a 43-year-old female from Woodbury, Minnesota who is interested in abdominoplasty and medial thigh lift. The patient is concerned regarding the loose skin on the abdomen and also the constant rubbing on her inner thighs. She also has quite a bit of loose skin. She has recently lost 40 pounds and would like to pursue treatment. The patient underwent surgery and had a full abdominoplasty and a medial thigh lift. The abdominoplasty specimen weighed 1907 grams. She also had medial thigh lift and the right thigh was 1055 grams and the left thigh was 1137 grams. Following her surgery, she was very pleased with her result. She had nice abdominal contour and was able to fit into smaller pants. She was pleased with the thighs. The scars were not visible from the front and only slightly visible from the back. She feels very confident in her clothing and is looking forward to wearing shorts and a swimsuit this summer.

The patient underwent a full abdominoplasty because of her small size and little amount of fatty tissue; she had a shorter procedure lasting only 2-1/2 hours as opposed to 3-1/2 hours.
