Dysport® in Minneapolis-St. Paul

What is Dysport®?
Dysport® is an injectable treatment for adults who wish to smooth the appearance of lines between the eyebrows and around the mouth. Made of Botulinum Toxin Type A, Dysport® blocks nerve signals which tell muscles to contract, resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance. Dysport® can be used to smooth crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead furrows, and skin bands on the neck.

Who is a Good Candidate for Dysport®?
Patients who are unhappy with wrinkles and lines in their faces can greatly benefit from Dysport® injections. The Procedure
Dysport® injections are done in-office and are often done in less than 15 minutes. A small needle is used to inject Dysport® into the facial muscles to weaken wrinkle-prone muscles. The number of injections will depend on the individual’s cosmetic goals, though most patients receive between two and five injections.

Signs of facial aging begin in the thirties. Common areas include the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. These areas can all be treated with either BOTOX or Dysport. These medicines will stop the muscles from creating those wrinkles. The goal is to minimize lines and shadows on the face while restoring smooth skin, not overdo things.
