This is a 66-year-old woman from Woodbury, Minnesota who is interested in re-contouring the arms. The patient had had weight loss with subsequent laxity of the upper arms. At the time of surgery, the patient underwent a liposuction brachioplasty. The liposuction aspirate on the arms was 1 L total between the two arms and then the skin weight was 140 g on the right and 125 g on the left. Postoperatively, the patient was very happy with the appearance of her arms. She felt much more comfortable in short sleeve and sleeveless shirts.
This patient is a 54-year-old woman who was interested in brachioplasty. The patient has significant weight loss. She was concerned with the laxity and persistent fatty deposition in the upper arms despite weight loss. The patient underwent liposuction brachioplasty. At the time of her procedure, she had 800 cc of fat aspirated and skin excision was 40 g per side. Postoperatively, the patient was very happy with her result. She was able to wear shirts that were more appropriate in size and more tight fitting clothing. She was not concerned regarding the scar.
