This is a 45-year-old female who was concerned regarding the appearance of her abdomen. She had previously had a cesarean section and also gallbladder removal and tubal ligation through a laparoscopic procedure. She had 2 children resulting in skin laxity and stretch marks on the lower abdomen. She did have a well-healed cesarean section scar. She underwent a full abdominoplasty with vertical plication or tightening of the muscles. At the time of her surgery, she had a total of 1795 g removed, which is approximately 4 pounds. Postoperatively, the patient was very happy with her abdominal contour. She was able to fit into pants one or two sizes smaller depending on the brand.
