Get Rid of Wrinkles: Botox and Fillers

Posted on February 25, 2014 by: Dr. Rocheford

It’s only natural for our skin to lose elasticity and form fine lines and wrinkles as we age. Fortunately, there are several non-surgical aesthetic procedures available to reduce or eliminate these lines.

In this video, DermTV.com provides an overview on how to get rid of wrinkles using Botox injections and dermal fillers. Botox is used to weaken the muscles that cause facial expressions and often provides the full effect between 10 and 14 days following the treatment. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are used to fill lines that are always visible on the skin or areas where muscles causing wrinkles cannot afford to be weakened with Botox injections (areas such as the smile lines). Learn more about the various types of fillers and how long they last in this full clip.
