Gretchen answers your questions about the Picoway® Resolve Laser and Picoway® Tattoo Removal.

How should I prepare for my pigmentation/Tattoo treatment?

All treatments require a consultation prior to receiving the treatment to ensure  you are a right candidate for the treatment, to answer any questions the client may have about the treatment, number of treatments and frequency, and pricing.

Avoid sun exposure 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Self-tanner should be discounted 1-2 weeks prior to treatment. Stop any oral, topical or skin care products 3-5 days prior to treatment and after.

What concerns will this treatment address?

The Resolve Laser treatment is for pigmentation, anti-aging and acne scarring.

The Picoway Tattoo Laser removes all tattoos and permanent make-up.

Is there down time?

The Resolve Laser treatment results in redness after the treatment. You can put on make-up after treatment but stay away from harsh treatments or products for 1 week. Redness could last a couple of hours after treatment.

After the Tattoo Removal Laser treatment the area treated will appear whitened/frosted, redness and swelling may be present. After care instructions will be provided on how to care for the tattoo at home. The tattoo will be covered with special ointment and dressing.

How many treatments are needed?

The Resolve Laser for pigmentation recommends 3-6 treatments. 4-6 weeks apart.

Tattoo Removal depends on the age and size of the tattoo. Average 6-9 treatments.

Will there be any discomfort?

Resolve Laser treatments discomfort varies with each person and depends on the location of the pigmented lesions being treated.

For Tattoo removal we try to minimize the discomfort with numbing and a Zimmer Chiller that keeps the area cool while treating it.
