Eyelids with excess skin create a heavy and tired appearance. Puffy eyelids are created by protruding fat. During eyelid surgery, excess skin and fat are removed to give a youthful, alert appearance. Eyelid surgery can also improve droopy eyelids and alter the ethnic traits of eyelids. Cosmetic eyelid surgery is known as blepharoplasty. Dark circles under the eyes may be due to shadowing as a result of protruding fat or skin. Sometimes dark circles are due to discoloration. Eyelid surgery can help dark circles as a result of shadowing but cannot eliminate dark circles as a result of skin discoloration.

The average cost of Eyelid Surgery surgery is $2,925 for upper OR lower lids and $4,725 for upper AND lower lids. This includes your surgical fee and all follow-up visits with Dr. Rocheford. This estimate also includes the facility fee and anesthesia costs. This is an estimate and may be different depending on your specific situation. It does not include the cost of your pre-operative physical, lab tests or medications. Dr. Rocheford does charge $100 for consultations, and that fee is deducted from the price of your surgery or in-office procedure.

Eyelid surgery will NOT improve crow's feet. These can be treated with
BOTOX® , collagen laser surgery or chemical peels. Also, droopy eyebrows and scowl lines will not be improved with eyelid surgery. These problems require a brow lift and/or BOTOX®.
