Do You Need a Breast Lift With Your Breast Augmentation?

Posted on June 20, 2014 by: Dr. Rocheford

When it comes to achieving a more shapely and perky body, you’re eager to target a big source of your frustrations: your breasts.  While you’ve always appreciated how you look, lately it seems like you need a little help getting the results you’re looking for. Whether you’ve lost volume due to breast-feeding or have lost your perkiness as a result of major weight loss, you’re interested in getting assistance from a in your quest for fuller and more youthful-looking breasts.

At Rocheford Plastic Surgery (serving the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul areas), Dr. Heather Rocheford can help patients correct drooping and deflated breasts by using breast augmentation and/or breast lift procedures.  Both procedures are designed to help women achieve firmer and fuller breasts after experiencing volume loss for a number of reasons, including:

•Pregnancy

•Breast-feeding

•Weight loss

As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Rocheford can provide you with guidance as to which procedure is right for you.  The breast augmentation involves using an implant to replace lost volume, while the breast lift is often used to correct breasts where the nipples are too low, or the skin has lost its elasticity.  Depending on your desired results, Dr. Rocheford may recommend one, or even both, of these procedures.

Wondering which procedure you might need?  Take a look:

•Take a look at where your nipples fall in terms of your breast fold.  If they fall below the natural fold, chances are you could benefit from a breast lift.  To address this, Dr. Rocheford will help reshape and tighten the skin, as well as adjust the positioning of the nipples.  This can help patients restore the youthful and firm appearance of their breasts without requiring the addition of implants.

•If you want to enhance the youthfulness of your breasts while improving the overall volume and shape, then Dr. Rocheford may recommend that you undergo a breast augmentation procedure.

•If you want to lift and increase the overall volume of your bust, Dr. Rocheford may have you undergo both the breast augmentation and breast lift procedure.  This can help lift the look of the breast, while the augmentation can re-shape and add your desired size.

To determine which procedure is right for you, schedule a consultation with Dr. Rocheford at Rocheford Plastic Surgery in Woodbury. 651-739-1100.
